The 7950 (especially those with Boost) compare very well to the 670s in terms of performance and price. Also, you would receive Bioshock and Crysis 3 for free.

This MSi 7950 Twin Frozr III Boost is IMO the best graphics card deal on OCUK for £260. And it has a stock core clock of 960MHz which means it has great performance even if you don't overclock it.

Will it get good FPS in everything on high-near high till this time next year do you think?

I'm willing to OC it a bit (not max because I'd like a bit of peace and quiet) - plus I really like MSI. My first ever build had a Radeon Hawk Twin Frozr II 5770 in it and that was a really good card at the time and really quiet. My current 6950 is MSI too. (All three, if I get this, would have been OCUK deals too!)

Have the drivers made much of a difference to this cards performance in the last year? Most of the reviews are from the middle of 2012?

Yes it will run everything at high settings and then some. I believe Rusty Galloway has this card so im sure he will be able to tell you more about how it performs. Msi are top notch. :)

Can't believe I've rebuilt essentially my entire computer in the last week, that was definitely not the original plan! Still, love the extra performance!!!:D
 
It's not too shabby anymore! I'll put some before and after pics on the 'show us the inside of your case' thread in a few days.

I'm also waiting for a windowed side panel for my Define R3 and a blue LED strip to finish things off!

Congratulations on the purchase!

You basically got a 7950 which is ramped up 20% more than the stock clock (960 vs. 800 MHz) and you got it for at least £50 less than its true value.
