*** Movember 2011 ***

Yup get on with it. On day 3 steve is well ahead of me and i usually sport a beard, I thought I'd grow quicker!

Problem is I shaved on like Sunday....Shall I just start from here or
shave tonight?

Nah start from here mate - no point in deliberately handicapping yourself. Think of your Mo in religious terms like Sampson's hair - the larger/longer it is the more masculated you are! It's like a source of testosterone on your top lip!!!

So, I've registererd and joined...I'll shave around my tash tonight then! Shall I go for a classic or a a mo when it goes down your mouth? :p

Generally speaking the more frequently you shave the quicker it will grow, so beard wearers are probably at a disadvantage

Now that I can't advise you on - it's all down to you my friend!

Myth: Shaving will make my beard grow thicker or faster.

Fact: Hair is basically protein and keratin and has no blood supply or nervous system. Your body does not know that your beard is shaved (or two inches long for that matter) because it has no way of communicating this information to your body. People often believe that shaving causes the beard to grow faster or thicker, but facial hair typically grows thicker and faster as you age so it's only a coincidence

I noticed in the automated emails people receive about Movember, there is a line:

"1 in 2 Men will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime"

I don't believe that statistic. That just sounds....wrong. 1 in 2? Really? I doubt that.
