**** Movember 2012 ****

Growing facial hair isn't a challenge (well not for me anyway :p).

I respect the charity, and so on, but I'd rather sponsor people doing something worthwhile, rather than just growing facial hair.

I think you're missing the point.
The mo is all about a manly image to spark conversation and remind people of men's health issues and to raise money for it.
What are we to do that is more "worthwhile" than raising money for Men's cancer research? Wear a badge? Run a mile? How would that do any better than growing a moustache? They have nothing to do with the objective.

At no point is the growing of the mo meant to be a challenge.

It's a massive challenge for me!!!

I'm very Blond, so my hair either comes in Blond (almost white) so you can't see it... or sometimes it's Ginger!!

Plus My Facial Hair is very sparse!, it takes ages to grow anything!!...

Just need some more 'Donations' now! :)

Yea you blonde boys have it tough. If I shave today, I'll be full of stubble come the weekend. Problem is that the few grey hairs on my chin stubble are very prominent. So I keep myself shaves. Hope no greys pop up in my tash, otherwise that bad boy is coming off!

Going to have my final shave tonight can't say I'm particularly looking forward to this. I'm pretty much the only person I know doing this and work with 5 females so no colleagues to take part with.

Same situation - only man in an office of six. I used to have beard/tash etc. when younger, but loathe being unshaven nowadays, so will be a real battle to last the whole month

The point is that they just look stupid/truly ridiculous... that's the 'challenge'.

I don't need to grow facial hair to do that! :D

I understand the point - but growing a silly moustache just doesn't interest me - I am happy to chat about it though and donate to the charity.

By all means have fun, great! I'm just saying, to me it holds no interest.

Never done it before, and I guess this is my last night to decide lol.

I have never kept a tash before so if I do it, chances are I will look like a scruffy 13 year old with pubes under my nose.

Is there anything that can be done to make new hairs grow?

I have a few patches in my stubble and a big one on my septum, so movember is not possible without looking daft.

Nope, if there was it would be a baldness cure as well. My dads going thin on top so I am starting to worry about this!

However, looking daft could only improve awareness!

I have a theory if I lost a drastic amount of weight my tache would join together because the skin would be less stretched...

But I see fat guys with beards all the time.

Maybe the fat is putting more pressure on the follicles, pushing the hair outwards.

Do what my mate did last year - dyed his tash. I also heard mustard is good at growing hairs

Ive started mine now but cannot and have not ever grown one. It will look like someone has stuck a few blonde pubes above my lip :(

Last year just let it grow and just had a bushy one, going to try a do the pencil this year. Plenty of people at work and football doing it.

I'm going to do it this year, theres nowhere nearly enough awareness of mens health. The girlfriend won't like it I know that much and I'm to get a few Freddie Mercury gags thrown at me (my hair is really dark).

I do baaaaaaad tash but I'm going to give it a go if work aren't funny.

It's strange I can do a beard but the tash is always rubbish :p

Just for you guys starting out, this is exactly one month's moustache for me. I can't bear to shave it off and start again, so I'll just continue growing it in solidarity. Soon, you'll have your own mo' to enjoy!
