Moving Access point to another socket

I have several PC's connected to a wireless router's hub but I want to use a dsl socket in another room.

I have a wireless Access point that I have not used before. Should I plug the Access point into the dsl socket in the other room and have that send the signal to the router? Would that work?

Thanks,

Jon

I have my wireless ADSL gateway router in another room. In the front room, I have a LinkSys WRT54GL wireless router (with DD-WRT firmware) that is set in client bridge mode. My HTPC, PS3 and BTVision PVR then plug into the LinkSys, which connects them wirelessly back to the gateway router.

You could set something like this up, but you would need to move your ADSL router into the other room and use a wireless hub/router in its place. You can pick the LinkSys routers up for a reasonable price.
