Moving Contract

I've not long found out that I'll be getting posted to Germany in the next 3 months(I'm in the Army) and I was just wondering if anyone had any experience in maybe transferring a contract to a company abroad.

I'm currently on O2, and I'm hoping to see if I can transfer to O2 Germany, and possibly keep my number, obviously with a different country code, just wondering if this is possible?

Highly unlikely. Can you not hibernate te account until you come back?

I'm going to be on a three year posting, so no. I'll need a new contract when I'm out there, so I'm hoping to see if I can keep the same number/contract with o2 for when I get out there. If I can't, it's not the end of the world, I just don't fancy having to pay off the rest of my contract in a oner if I don't have too.

Ring them and ask, expect a no though.

Can you not transfer the contract to someone else, would save you paying it off.
