"Moving Forward" and "Due Diligence"

due dilligence is not a buzz word or bull**** word.

it has its place, maybe some people use it out of context in which case the tit using it shoudl be slapped

Agreed. For a contractor (be it a person or company) performing due dilligence work is a real bread winner.

I agree performing it is all good; I just find it demeaning that an employee would have to be told to do it. I mean, does that mean they usually come off as complete slackers, not performing the job to the best of their abilities? If that's the case, why not replace them with a team that doesn't have to be told to work for their pay?

Due diligence should be assumed, and punished if not performed. I don't get told to floss my teeth -- I have just learnt over the years that it is the best thing to do.

This thread sucks.

None of you are thinking outside the box.

As a working unit, we should really push the envelope on this one , and construct some positive input.

:p

I have a window, lets braindump a stakeholder.

we have 'going forward...' and 'in terms of...'

as soon as someone becomes a manager in our place every sentence starts with these words lol.

i refuse to use them. thats why im not a manager i suppose. :o

( I have 4 windows and a patio door :p )

Affermative, Braindump it is.

Though i feel a more collective multi-interfacing meeting would be more productive.

Thank you for stepping up to the plate, mrdbristol. As self-appointed ambassador of peer relations, we will expect you to lead by example and maintain the positive mental attitude that will improve this thread's performance and increase its effectiveness for communication.

Instead of being in denial, we will learn to identify and channel the energy of authentic emotions and reactions into productive actions and problem solving that propel this forward. We will learn to tap into a well of creative energy that supports accomplishment.

As we look to the future for ever better ways to improve performance, leadership and teamwork and to handle the accelerating changes we face on these forums, we must understand the significant ways that interpersonal communication impacts our lives.*

Well that depends but I do see your point. For instance, for some of our clients we head over to see them monthly to make sure everything is going as planned and no major issues are going to crop up, performing this due dilligence is a bread winner.

However, if I was a coder and told to take due dilligence over my coding, I see your point entirely.
