Moving from iOS to Android (my experience)

what is this slowemail thing ? Surely you just make the email software check the server, or set it to check auto every 10/15/ mins or so ? I don't understand how *the phone* is causing your emails to show slowly.

Email notifications on iPhone are pushed to the device, so you get notified the moment they come in (like a text message)


On the Samsung, they’d come in when they felt like it



Changing the sync rate from auto to a set interval would probably fix it, but use more battery which is a compromise I shouldn’t have to make

Outlook it temperamental as well.

Even with it having 'Unrestricted' usage, it's still hit and miss as to whether to the notification arrives a few seconds before it does on desktop, a few minutes after it does on desktop, or just not arrive at all?
