Moving...
I'm going to change my phone and I have been looking at a new deal to go with it. It's currently a toss up between Orange and 3 as they're the cheapest.

I'm currently with Orange and have been forever. I'm happy with their service and the coverage.

However the 3 deal I'm looking at is a few quid cheaper per month than orange (although this equates to ~40%). I've looked at the coverage checker and it seems even between the two where I live. Overall 3 seems to have slightly less coverage.

Anyone gone from one of these providers to the other? What were your thoughts?

Have you thought about telling Orange you're looking to switch to 3 because they are offering what you get but for cheaper? They may well match the deal.

The Orange deal is only a few pence more expensive than 3 in store. The reason 3 comes out cheaper is they offer a better cashback deal through topcashback. So I doubt they'll take this into consideration. Worth a shot though I suppose.

Just tell them that is what Orange is offering, don't say anything about the topcash deal. I do this at every renewal and always get the deal i specify.

Go through buymobilephones. they did a fantastic deal for me on O2 and I went from orange. HTC One X for free 24 month contract £21.50 a month.... 100 mins, unlimited texts and 500mb data. never use the minutes and the data hardly gets used as I get on WiFi when I can.

I have 3 for almost 3 years now and I can personally say that signal strength is awesome.
I lived in a town in the middle of nothing in Cumbria, had good signal every time. I went to a few university throughout the UK for open days, no problem. I am now in Cardiff uni, full signal basically everywhere.
Basically I have yet to find a place where network coverage was bad, and I have been with 3 for almost 3 years. If they offer a better deal, why not switch?

Moved to Three after having some doubts, best thing I've done. I hammer tethering on the One plan and I've always had full speeds.
