Moving from XP to 7....

Obviously for business use there may be a market for it, but as a home and small business user I haven't found a peice of software yet that doesn't require you to click next/yes a lot.

Would love to see the job description of a software installation engineer lol.

I have a friend who works as in IT, not quite sure what he does, but he says his job consists of watching progress bars all day lol

Ok, all those points a valid but surely its more hassle to take your PC to a shop and pay someone to click yes a lot lol

Not sure what sort of shot you're trying to take here, I do realise what I'm saying and so what if I don't think of the other side?

As much hassle as taking a car to a garage, leaving it there all day, having to get a bus just to change some simple parts?

Who cares what other people do? There are plenty of people out there that use PCs but have no idea how to install and set them up. Windows installations especially can be quite tricky. I have a board here that automatically installs the wrong USB3 drivers when windows is installed. It also does not install the network. I do not have the original discs. Luckily I have a laptop and a USB drive. How many people do not? Plenty of people have only the one pc, and if something goes wrong, they are screwed!

If people are willingto pay, you should be willing to let them. Stupid or not :D

I spent over 2 years in early 2000's working in a pc shop, building and repairing pc's. I know it was 10 years ago, but the majority of people would mess their pc's up over and over again, and then pay to have them sorted out. One chap had XP, kept on trying to put a game on that messed up his XP and I reckon we re-installed XP about 20 times at a cost of 325 each time before their was a workaround to stop him screwing his system. Many people just don't care or realise that they can mess things up...I have enough stories to write a book...
