Moving from XP to Windows 7

Thanks mate.....I dont know if this is possible but can i set my pc to boot the win 7 partition straight away instead of me having to manually select what i want, Then should i want xp i just give a command and the selection screen boots up.
Not sure if you need to do this from XP or Win7, but login, click run, or use the Win7 search in the start menu, and type msconfig, click boot, there you can change the timeout and in win 7 at least, not sure about XP, there is a option to make it permanent which will skip the menu altogether, to get it back you would have to go into msconfig and change it back I think..
Alternative(probably actually easier) is go into control panel, double click system in XP and Win7, in XP I think a window comes up, in Win7 click advanced system settings on the left for the same window, now you can change the settings there... and while you're there you can take off the automaticly restart windows option.. I turned mine off since back when XP just came out and it would restart over a minor error that wouldn't cause a problem lol.
Think.. and hope that sorts your problem.. you could always have like a 2 second OS select option for the times you want to change OS, saves you waiting
