Moving on from 518's

After buying these a few months ago and realising just how much better sound can be I'm tempted to move it up a gear already.

What would be the next step and should I get a sound card over the supposedly good built in audio chip on my Asus Maximus V Gene.

I don't think it would hurt to get a soundcard. It depends on what kind of cans you're thinking of going on to though.

This is one which I've heard most about, but I don't use a soundcard so I don't have one personally! I think acme has one and he raves about it iirc.
