Is it possible to move my OS from one drive to another (like copy and paste)? When I started to use Win7 Beta, I just made a partition on one of my storage drives and chucked it in there, when I got the proper version I didn't really think about hat and just placed it at the same place. But now I need to rearrange my HDD's and since I have 2 160GB HDD's in raid 0, I am wondering if I can just wipe away my XP installation I have on them and move my Win7 there, or do I have to do a new installation?

If I have to do a re-installation of Win7, could I do a backup of my present set up, and then use that one my new installation of Win7, which would make it a bit easier for me and I wouldn't have to re-install all my programs again! :o If I could do a backup, would Win7 Backup and Restore program work, or would you recommend I use something else?

Another similar question, I have my games on a partition of a 500GB HDD, but I want to remove this HDD from my PC, could I copy all my games to a new location and still be able to use them as before, or would I have to uninstall them all and then reinstall them on another location?

As always, any and all advice and suggestions greatly appreciated, thank you! :D

Double, Triple, Quadruple check that you have backups of everything before you start moving stuff around. Don't wanna accidently nuke a partition before you imaged it! :p

Thanks for you replies guys! I am presuming that I should be taking an image of both my OS and my Game partition, and then when I have rearrange everything have the image reinstated onto their new locations? Just want to check so I a not doing it wrong before I start!

Also, is Acronis True Image hard to use, never used them before so don't want to get in trouble once I am about to reinstate the images!
