Moving OS to SSD

Hi all,
I need some help on moving my OS (win7) to my SSD.
I don't have a clue how to set it up setting wise thats if you have to change any settings. (Its still in the box)
I dont want to do a reinstall of my OS because then I loose all my data but got told you can move the OS to the SSD without having to do a reinstall and only have one copy of the OS.

you can only do that if the data will fit onto the ssd,if its larger then you need to do a re install onto the ssd

set sata ports to ahci mode and unplug your old hdd's,install windows,once done plug back in your old hdd's and keep what you want ect and re install any programs/games that don't work

or backup your hdd data and format it

The ssd I got is 60gb can't I install win7 on the ssd and remove the OS files from my hdd so ive only got one copy of windows.

yeah aslong as you back up all your important data

then format the old hdd/windows install
