Moving out...

Congrats mate,

I have been in my own place (well mine and hers) for coming upto a year now and i still don't feel at "Home"
Mum and Dad's will always be classed as home to me, i think.

I'm completely the opposite, probably because I moved around a lot when i was young, I feel far more at home on my "own" as such than with my parents. I eat what I eat when I want to eat it etc (I have a much higher appreciation of nice food than my parents do)

Also, my house is far nicer than my parents :)

Nice one mate, enjoy it. I took the plunge a few months back and haven't regretted it since.
My biggest gripe is obviously paying bills, apart from that love it.
You form routines to make cleaning easier - just don't leave it till it's completely manky!

Wednesday is the big day.

I've got my room down to 5 Black bags.. a few bits to be carried plus my Bed, PC Desk and Chair.

Shouldn't take long :D

What a coincidence, I move out on the 27th as well, I'm really looking forward to it but at the same time thinking 'jesus this is going to be expensive' especially as I've had to stump up a £632 deposit + £425 rent upfront & I will be living on my own  also like the OP i will be moving 18miles closer to work ( will now be 2 miles from work & I will be biking it once I get my bike from the ex's house )

Enjoy your freedom OP, I know I will.

I have one question... when will that strange feeling disappear?

Takes a while, I moved out and lived away for 3 years and have done so again and now living permanently with the missus. Took a good few months to get used to the new surroundings and not wake up thinking "where the heck am I!?!" every morning :)

Its good having your own place though, enjoy!
