I have two 1Tb disks set up as RAID 0 and my mobo has died. I now have to replace the mobo with a new one which I have chosen the same Asus manufacturer but a different model. My question is can I just put the two RAID 0 disks in the new mobo, even though the RAID controller is a different manufacturer, plug them in config my mobo to RAID in the BIOS and the controller should recognise the RAID0 on the new disks and carry on working?

The mobo makes no difference, it's the RAID controller that needs to be the same i think. The P5KC uses a different controller to the one you have choosen I believe. It they are using the same controller, it should be fine.

Moving a RAID0 array that was on the ICH9R to another ICHxR controller should work without any problems, but moving it to another RAID controller of a different manufacturer could give a lot of problems, and may not work...

I moved from one Asus mobo to another Asus mobo with no probs at all, but as has been said already it's the controller that needs to be the same, in my case it was Intel ICH10R on both mobo's. Good luck!

OK, I've just realised I'm an idiot. The P5KC doesn't have internal RAID, only eSATA RAID on JMcron controller. I migrated to the 1Tb disks and I've realised I set them as C + D drives.

I'm gonna buy the P5Q Deluxe and re-image the drives under RAID0. Sorry for the confusion, but good answers for future thought.
