moving stuff from Sky+HD HDD to PC, possible?

Well as long as the tv liscence and the sky subscription is being paid and its on my skybox i would say that i do own it.
And anyway, what about recordable DVD players and VCRs, do you have something against them?

yer be aware hard drive runs out fast ive used ive used up 1TB in a month and a half :/

If so i was just thinking about that, i may get a big external HDD just for it and other DVDs and videos i have.

tbh i dont watch that much HD stuff so i doubt much of it will get recorded.
Or does the HD PVR upscale in some way?

i think as the sky box upscales the SD content it detects it as HD material. However you could just lower the bit rate to allow smaller files but i have no idea what kind of effect this has on the quality as ive yet to try it.

Ah right, well im sure my dad will have a few spare HDDs lying around in his office so i might be able to 'borrow' them

its not too bad to be honest since 1TB drives can be picked up pretty cheap these days

Would it not be a simpler solution to just get the files off the internet? I mean you can find pretty much ANYTHING on the internet.

No more illegal than trying to break the Sky encryption..........
