Moving to a new flat - need a new net connection

Hi,

I'm moving to my new flat tomorrow and I'd like the internet at home. The flat's are new but i'm unsure whether it has a phoneline or not. The area isn't covered by cable so I'd need a line for ADSL. I assume this would need to be a BT line. The cost of a new line though is stupid, £130 and then I have to pay £11 a month for a plan i don't need. I'd just like the internet, nothing else. What options do I have?

None, other than eg. Bulldog who charge less for a new line.

You will need to pay £124.99 if you want BT and the flat has never had working service before, and as you say you would then be paying £11 a month rental even if you just want it for the Internet and no calls.

Yep its £12 if u not paying by direct debit, you only get it at £11 if you do pay direct debit.
