Moving to AUS, 360 Compatibility?

Hey All,

Im moving to AUS in August and I was planning to take my 360 with me

but then I had a thought............ are the games in AUS compatable with an EU 360?? Are the 360's region free??

iirc, Australasia is a PAL territory, which means games should work fine.

But, isn't Australia region 4? Where-as we're region 2? So DVDs won't play.

Is this a difference of DVD regions not game regions?

games go by PAL/NTSC

dvd's go by 1/2/3 etc etc

So If i understand this right, I can take my 360 and still play games but I cant watch DVD's?

Which isnt a major issue! At least I will be able to use my 360 to watch the DVD's that I take with me!

Any games that the Australians ban I will just get shipped from the UK.

Don't quote me on this but I think some DVD's are listed as Region 2, 4 meaning that they are compatible - worth a look anyway

Failing that upgrade to HD DVD without region restrictions?
