Not for me, rather my mum.
She is not a heavy user at all, however she does find the net fun.
At the moment she has:

Sky TV
BT Landline
PlusNet Broadband (Cheapest package).

My intention is to move her over to the free Sky broadband that is available if you're a Sky TV subscriber. Her area has only recently gone live with regards Sky's own offerings.
This will save her £16 per month over her current packages.

Anyway, I've got the option online to order the free broadband and to also have the phone bought under Sky as well.
Will Sky then deal with everything for her? So they will take the line from BT, they will arrange to get the broadband sorted out?
Or will I start (on her behalf) need to call BT and PlusNet etc?

Cheers.

You may need to get a MAC code and give that to Sky, but other than that they will do everything - you just sign up, arrange a date and and start paying, they send round an engineer (from BT OpenZone, but whoever) who will install/change things over - other than changing onto the new network, there's nothing your mum will need to do.

And I very much suspect that if she asked them to, they'd swap over an ethernet cable or change her WiFi network for her, if she wouldn't know how to do it.
