Hi, I am wondering whether you can move your OS from one HDD to another without moving things like WoW and iTunes Libraries.
And would I really see much of a difference by moving my OS onto a SSD with things like start up times (I have a 640Gb WD Caviar Black if this helps)
And if I would see a good difference in speed, what is the best for about £140.

Thanks :)

I have re-installed my OS a few times. I have WoW on a seperate drive. I could still run WoW without needing to reinstall it, even tho it was a clean formated build.

You can hold down the [shift] key while launching iTunes and it gives u the option of loading an iTunes library of your choosing. I have several libraries all stored on a different drive to the default settings.

An SSD would improve your OS and default apps significantly. Im going to get an SSD also and reinstall my windows OS on that.

Get the best SSD you can afford. Check the read/write speeds and look at the other threads on here for user reports on the different drives. Also make sure it will support TRIM if your using Win 7.

Thanks mate :)

I have decided to wait abit longer so I can get a better drive + see what new tech comes out as I see they have already got 512Gb ssds lined up, so maybe theres some much faster stuff coming? :)
