Moving to the dark side of the force

i moved to the dark ps3 side when i finally sold my 4th 360 (rrod)and to be honest i have never looked back.not one problem with it and probably the best bit is that its free online.:D

?? Theres a difference. I didnt once compare a previous title to current one and make judgement on how good it will be, thats was my point ! Understand? I cant be arsed to argue with you anyway as youre too clever.
 
I do think that in isolation 2008 is better for the PS3.. well, perhaps towards the end of the year when we actually have the games, there is a little element of people thinking 2008 is the PS3's year, but then have to sit around waiting for the games to actually materialise.. but still it's a good lineup on paper..

If you where new to consoles, you'd have to take into account the entire catalogues of both systems, 2007 for the 360 was stupidly good, and those games are available right now, there is no waiting until Q4 for your game to be released to enjoy it..
 
its not just because this ps3 has a immense lineup of games this year, it has an immense lineup of exclusive games, its finally competitively priced and also a safe buy because blu ray has pretty beat beaten hd.

i had been waiting for the right time to buy a ps3 and i have just bought one this week.

edit: there also a stream of good games coming out every month, some exclusive and some not but theres certainly going to be no waiting around for gams to materialise.

So what new 2008 exclusives are you playing right now? ;)

I see your point, and I already have a PS3..

My point was that if you where buying a new console 'today' and didn't already have either next gen offereing, then although there are 'more' exclusives on the PS3 this year, if you bought a 360, you'd still have all it's exclusives from last year that, coupled with this years is more then a match for the PS3's line up to date IMO of course.. this doesn't make a choice black and white, that's all I'm saying..
 
2008 is going to be a good year for games on the PS3 with MGS4, LBP, GT5P, Reisitance 2 to name just a few, but IMO 2009 will be much better. In 2009 i expect we will get the full GT5 then and FF13 and FF13 versus, also God of War 3 (yay), sequels to Uncharted, Heavenly Sword and Ratchet (last 3 are guess work but im sure thats when they'll appear). I think we will get the Console versions od SF4 in 2009 with the arcade one hitting this year.
 
2009 will be awesome! I am dying to see more on FFXIII and Versus.

People say FF went downhill after VII, but I disagree, I absolutely LOVE XII.
 
lol sorry mate I am sooo into FFXII right now I am eating and sleeping it.

It's bloody brilliant, and I hope XIII is more of the same.
 
Just been looking at a PS3 for £260 delivered but its a 40gig one. As tempting as that is for that price It would still mean we have to find room for the ps2. Bah I found somewhere taking pre-orders on some 60gigs they have coming in but they want £400.

Are they actually going to be releasing more with back compat or am I going to have to buy one without?
 
Do you really need BC? I've only 'tried' a few games on my 60Gb PS3, then realised I much preferred the next gen stuff anyway.. same on my Xbox..

I doubt Sony will introduce it again, it doesn't make sense to have 2 different motherboards in production..
 
Cant say I think you are doing the right thing. Once the novelty wears off you will see that the PS3 really isn't that special.....coming from experience.

Game you have to check out = Drakes Fortune. Looks great.

Aside from that, there is really nothing on the PS3 to shout about. Although I'm sure the SDF bots on here will say otherwise

I do really, my mrs has a lot of games she likes to play. Old singstar, buzz games etc. She has them all. She wants the new one for the ps3 and I dont have room under my tv for both.

as for old singstar keep the mics and sell off the old games to get the PS3 singstar which now has singstore, same with Buzz - new version out soon with own store for downloading new quizz's , play online against other teams and create you own quizz's that can be shared online
