Hi all i have decided to trade my 360 for a ps3 because of a few reasons ( not bore you with them ) so what games do you recommend ??? i will get COD4 for a start that is nailed on then spend ages getting back to rank 39-40 :p also what accessories are worth getting if any ??? i have a hdmi cable sorted already .

Cheers Mick .

Games wise there's been plenty of people asking about this lately so just have a look at the replies, could also help if you say what type of games your'e into.
As for accessories, with the HDMI cable you have pretty much all you need, some people get a BD remote control, but that isnt needed as you can use the sixaxis. A longer USB lead to charge with, some find handy as the one it comes with is about 1.5M, this just means you can sit further away from the console when it charges. If you want a second controller i would have a look a get a dual shock 3 from Asia, it will work out cheaper than RRP for a sixaxis and is better built (in some cases) and has rumble, it will take about a week or so for standard delivery. Dont forget to make a US account as well as a UK PSN, see PS3 faqs for details, as you will find more demos on there site than the UK one. Hope you enjoy the console.:)

Cheers msmalls74 ;) i wont be getting it till probably next friday and i like shooters , racers and a few sports games the most really , i had a look through the GT5 thread and it does look great .

Good list there Inoshishi ;) and i dont do any flaming i dont get that carried away :p i will post my psn id ( if thats what its called ) when i get it .

I've just finished Uncharted Drakes Fortune, and its the best game I;ve played in a couple of years. I would recommend you get this along with COD4, Assassin's Creed & Burnout Paradise.

Why would you do this?

But make sure you pick up UNCHARTED, after make sure you re-trade and get back that 360 :p

Accessories worth buying:

USB Headset - Ive got 2 bluetooth headset that I have used through *** PS3, and they are crap. Went out and bought a USB headset and the sound is crisper than through Skype.

Remote Control - I watch a lot of films and generally use the PS3 as a media centre, and the remote has beeen one of my most useful purchases.

Games:

Uncharted
F1
Heavenly Sword
Ninja Gaiden (Albeit its the hardest game ive ever played)
GT5: Prologue (Jap import)
Burnout Paradise
Assasins Creed
Ratchet and Clank

i see the usual winning formula in this thread. :D

A little stab at your decision.

Advice.
Excellent.:p

I recommend Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, Tekken Online, Warhawk, Ninja Gaiden and Heavenly sword.

All great games. :) And it's not a purchase you will regret, I'm buying one in the next fortnight, ATLAST MY OWN PS3. Cannot wait.

Odd decision, but hope you enjoy it more than most people have.

I'd recommend Uncharted and Motorstorm.

Why is it a odd decision ??? for one i get a couple of minor problems that could lead to a big problem meaning another 360 which would be my 3rd , i am looking to buy some blu ray movies and the ps3 has now games that are on both systems which are worth buying and some top titles in the future for sure so for them reasons it seems a good decision , i could buy a elite which seem to be more reliable but i would still need to buy a blu ray player .

Because the majority of people on here have major love for the 360, therefore if you get rid of your 360 to buy a PS3 you are wierd. Theres a fair few good games due out next year on top of what is out so you shouldnt be short of games, but thats what the majority of people will argue. A lot of the ports that originated on the 360 are pretty bad graphically on the PS3, but they are by no means unplayable.

I am only getting COD4 for a start which is great and will download some demos i think and as i already said it isnt purely for gaming , thanks for the input Stellios .

take no notice of Nokkon, lol - he loves his PS3. TBH i think more and more people will jump ship as the PS3 establishes itself, hardware issue's and RROD and noisy drives amongst various other reasons isn't going to do MS any favours this generation in the long run, lets just hope they have taken all this onboard for their next console because if they do then i can see a cracking console comming from MS next time round.

I cant see that many people jumping ship, maybe more buying it as a second (or third) console. You have to go to the hassle of selling all your games and peripherals, then buying all the multiplatform games that you liked again for the ps3, at a loss one would presume. And you miss out on all the great exclusives on the 360. Im sure I'll pick up a PS3 this year but Id never sell my 360.

My point of it being an odd decision was valid. Going from an Xbox360 to a PS3 could only be for exclusives of which only Uncharted and Motorstorm are worthy of being recommended by me. The other games that are excellent on the PS3 he could already get on the Xbox360 (hence my comment).

People look for more malice in my comments that other people because it's me. If he was getting a PS3 from scratch it was fair enough, I'd understand the trading in more if the big exclusives of '08 were already out.

I only have 3 games so i dont have a collection and the only extra i bought was the 360 wheel which i stall use with my pc and like i said if it was for purely gaming then i would have got a elite instead but people seem to be forgetting i want it for blu-ray films also .
