Moving to the dark side of the force

A very wise decision IMO, Although i like my 360, THE pS3, oozes class, and its future potential looks bright.Excellent blue ray player, Rumble pad. Burnout Paradise, UT3, sorted:)

In my case, I simply didn't want two boxes. You can only play one at a time. The DS3 alleviates the nasty gamepad feeling on the PS3 so that was one advantage point taken off the Xbox 360. I don't want a console that has the ability to scratch £40 discs of its own accord. As for having to buy multiplatform games again, why? If you've already played them what's the point of buying them again? Unless you want to go multiplayer which I didn't as I never had Xbox Live gold.

I love both the 360 and the PS3, But I can easily see why people would trade between the 2.

The PS3 has more going for it.

The OP, Said he had his reasons for wanting the PS3, and maybe they go above and beyond just gaming. He has no reason to have to defend his choice.

Odd to mention a rumble pad and UT3. Firstly, the pad isn't the default pad, nor are either the pad or UT3 even out in this country yet. Then Burnout Paradise is on the Xbox360 (which also DOES have a Rumble Pad).

I do however agree that the PS3 is the classiest of the consoles and I love Blu-Ray.

don't see why its odd that he mentioned UT3 just because its not out here?, i have it also and the PS3 does have an advantage that import games are region free unlike most 360 games. The world is a smaller place and ordering from where you like when you like is actually a very good bonus for a console

Wise decision, 360s starting to look a little dead weight now tbh and judging by exclusives this year PS3 seems a much better move!

Microsoft don't usually announce what they have planned until one of the big events like GDC, so we don't really know what exclusives the 360 will be getting just yet.

I wonder if this could be true.

UK's best selling independent 360 magazine XboxWorld 360 has a scoop on what could be four big unannounced exclusive 360 games in their March issue.

Please take note that XboxWorld 360 is part of online gaming news website CVG.

The article is called "The secret is out"

The games in question are:

Gears of War 2
Dead or Alive 5
Forza 3
Halo: Chronicles

Of course these are only rumors but could these be the games Microsoft is going to announce at GDC 2008, XboxWorld 360 Certainly do.

Only ones that interest from them are GOW 2 and Forza 3 wouldnt surprise me if Forza 3 announced going to need new game to counter Gran Turismo 5. :)

As Nokkon said would want more though :)

Well the tbh part kinda took away the fact i wasnt stating it as facts imo. Its a forum, put 2 & 2 together coz ill be damned if im gonna add opinion disclaimer notes after every post!

Personally I think it's not long til I get one myself, but I wouldn't trade in what I already have for one. Now HD is all but dead I was looking at getting a Blue ray player so I may as well buy one even if I dont play many games on it. I wish I'd bought a 60g one though because of the backwards compat.

The 2nd hand prices for them are stupid now, if another comes out with it on I won't hesitate to buy one.

Seeing as it's gone off topic already I thought I'd stick something in here.

I've had a PS3 for about 12 months now, and for the first time now, it's starting to take top billing over my 360. Not particularly sure why either.

Well i cant really afford to have both and i would just end up using one of them all the time , i went round to a mates house this afternoon for some COD4 multiplayer on ps3 and it was very good and if other ps3 games are as good multiplayer wise then i will really enjoy it + he had just bought a 40" samsung 1080p tv :D .
