Decide to move up a size as I find that M-ATX cases a little difficult to tinker in given my aging hands seem less able to do precisely what I want and my eyes are being strained trying to see inside a smaller case. So am looking for a solid mobo for a 6600k cpu. Would need M. 2 ssd slot but I think most boards come with that these days.
I see there is a MSI Z170 G43 Plus in the Marketplace which i will be looking at later.

strong point with Gigabyte is customer support and rep presence on here, which seems half the time they sort RMA from other resellers, the irony haha
Strix is a lovely looking board though, had the Z version and Ultra gaming for gigabyte which looks like the Gaming 3 above.

should check out thetis case for ATX, what i did for my ATX mini build to save space

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £98.09 (includes shipping: £11.10)

The only problem with that case is it is black and I really hate black cases.
Looking at the Silverstone SST-RL06WS-PRO Red Line

true, ah - sorry thought since you were moving from mATX you still wanted to keep the short form factor. thetis is smaller then most matx cases haha

whats your budget for the case ?

Not really got a budget as I have managed to persuade the good lady to get it for my Christmas, but i am trying to keep it to around a 100 quid and will sneak in an AIO cooler as well.

So you will want a Z chipset board.

Give me upto a week and I might be able to stick something in MM for you.

its more of the thing that you've paid the case for the K chip, worth utilising it , even if its letting the board do its self .

if you've got some serious case for some nice cases

least cases stick with you for many many rebuilds - can justify that to the better half :D

I will certainly consider the Lian Li as the others are way over what i could persuade her to spend and to be honest I really would want to spend anymore than £100+ on a case.

You can pick up a gigabyte z170 k3 for around £80 new.. Great board, very happy with mine.

Although you should still be able to use your current m-atx board in a bigger case.
