Hey guys,

I just ordered a 80gb Sata drive to have windows installed on as my 40gb IDE is full :O

So i wondered can i just basically connect the Sata drive then copy Windows over to it.

Then run Set my bios to run from tht drive and Format the 40gb ?

is it tht simple or will there be complications ?

basically i don't wanna have to spend the time re-installing windows all my driver games and the massive list of patches for World Of Warcraft cos tht will take days lol

you cant copy/paste windows files to other hard drive.

what you need is hard drive cloning software like norton ghost but acronis trueimage is best one to get.

you can get trial version of trueimage BUT i'm not sure if you can create acronis bootable CD with trial version. i'll leave that to someone else to confirm that.

The manufacturer of your new drive will probably have free utility that ypou can download that will do what you want.
