Hi,

I am having issues with a server running 2003 Server R2 sp2.

I need to move the pagefile from C: to E: &/or F: (i do realise that i will lose the ability to have dump information).

However i whenever i set my server to have no pagefile (or a small one) on C: and create one on either or both of the other drives the pagefile on C: reappears after an indeterminable amount of time.

I have googled my head off

The new pagefiles on e/f are a good size.....im lost

Anyone got any ideas?

Which order are you doing it in? You'll need to create the new pagefile first, set and reboot.

Then take off the initial pagefile set and reboot.

Aha that makes sense, i have been doing the lot and rebooting.

It is strange though as swapfile on C: is not shown in the registry and you can delete the one on C:....and then as if by magic it reappears later on that day or the next..spoooky.

Ill have another go thx.

if you have 2gb ram

set one for 2048 - 4096 on D:

reboot

now remove the one on C: and click set

reboot
