Mozilla Firefox update 1.5.0.1

Ah i see why it wasnt updating or uninstalling now, when i tryed messing about with the install of the old version and trying to fix the max version like u were sorta saying above it was messing up the whole thing. So i went and deleted what i was doing before and then closed ff and then restarted it and when i went to extenstions window it had gone.

I then installed ** updated version and closed/restarted and its working again.

Yeah about 750k i think mine dled and installed for the 1.5.1 update. Thats updating from 1.5 tho. You might have had a slightly older version i dunno but maybe thats why u got 6mb dl.
 
I got a popup that updates had been downloaded and I had to restart ff to install them yesterday. I didn't get told there were any updates to download before i was told to install them.

Yeah would have been nice to have been told there was updates and give me the *option* to update when / if I wanted to. What would have happened if there was a mojor cockup with the firefox release that screwed the app up, t would have updated straight away without any chance to cancel the update.

You can choose in the Options menu in Firefox whether you want to be asked about updates, or just have them downloaded automatically.

I agree the default should be to prompt though...

ahhh right , thanks just checked and altered the settings now :)

i had to delete everything and reinstall it =(
