This is a problem that has really got me boiling over, basically, it would appear mozilla is using WAY to much memory, when i watch it in the task manager, i see it just go up and up until it reaches about a gb, then it says mozilla has ecnountered a problem and needs to be shut down!.

AppName: firefox.exe AppVer: 1.9.0.3054 ModName: ntdll.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.2180 Offset: 0000256d

thats the error in full, i got it from internet explorer too, but ive since disabled third party browsing in that and its stopped, but it still persists in mozilla, with both the latest version and the version 3 candidate...

Im using windows xp and im getting to breaking point.

Any suggestions other then start using internet explorer???

I tried safe mode, and it seemed to still do it, im now using a new profile, and so far so good...but still, ive got the task manager open and its like waiting for the long beep on a heart monitor...

is or has anyone else been suffereing from this?

I uninstalled version 2 last night and installed version three, but its doing it again now.

What is the healthy amount of memory that should be used?

I just cant figure this one out, ive completely wiped mozilla and re-installed at its still eating up memory like vanessa feltz at a buffet.

Granted its been behaving a little bit better, but it seems to be websites like gametrailers causing it, or when i got to depositfiles website, its so inconsistant....

Anyone?
