Hey,

As a Windows user I stuck with Tag&Rename but I've had no luck finding a decent alternative for my Mac.

Features required:
  • Mass rename based on song name and artist
  • Mass tag edit and single file tag edit

Ideas on a postcard.

Thanks guys!

Run tag&rename through wine on the mac http://darwine.en.softonic.com/mac
Still running mp3tag that way.

Haven't really found anything on the Mac that i like that compares in functionality and ease of use. Itunes is a poor mans tag editor, bit more decent if you use something like Tune Instructor with it but still doesn't compare to windows alternatives yet.

same here, still running mp3tag through VMWare for some strange reason something equivalent (or anywhere near as good anyway) just doesn't exist for mac

I prefer to rename and tag my music files and then import them in to iTunes. It make's backing up much easier as afaik iTunes doesn't rename files.

If you rename a song in iTunes, iTunes will rename the actual file accordingly along with the track number in front of the filename.

A case of itunes being enough for most mac users. On the pc you have media player by default which :D

Only if you let itunes organise your media library.

Went through a bunch of them and ended back at running mp3tag, supports most audio media formats under the sun, in a simple to use interface. Extensive power features that are easily accessible.
