Ok, got this running a lot better now. However, prior to me wiping everything and starting again, if I used to watch "Friends" in MPC-HC it would be full screen (as opposed to 4:9). Now, it's 4:9 unless I set some stupid option like UberZoom. Surely setting that affects all files I play from then on.

How or what setting can I change (in either MPC-HC or FFDShow) to make Friends stretch to the window nicely.

What's the resolution of your monitor?

Friends should be 4:3, assuming you have a widescreen monitor, do you want to display it correctly (with black bars either side, i.e. pillarboxing) or horizontally distorted across the screen?

It's pilarboxing at the mo, it's on my TV, sorry, should have said, a Panasonig G10 46" 1080p so the res is 1920 x 1080.

Thing is, some setting I had before didnt pilar box it, it stretched it. I'd like that again tbh

But Friends is filmed in 4:3, you'll be stretching everything horizontally distorting the image.

If you want it stretched meaning everyone will look fat, you can do this by "right-clicking -> Video Frame -> Override aspect ratio" and choosing 16:9

If you want it zoomed in meaning it's not stretched but you have the top and bottom cut off then "right-clicking -> Video Frame -> Touch window from outside" will do it.

Use the number pad.

Press 9/1 to zoom in/out.
Press 4/6 to stretch horizontally.
Press 2/8 to stretch vertically.
Press 5 to reset to original.

Lucero - when people take the time to tell you the answer to the questions you ask - you really should take notice. You did exactly the same thing when i responded to your previous MPC-HC thread and it was annoying then too.
