Hi Guys
I just bought myself an ARCHOS 704 wifi 40gid player and I have a problem.
When I turn on the player it goes to the Home screen then freezes after 4 seconds, the screen then goes to the ARCHOS name on screen then back to the home screen ( also the hdd is always flashing red while this is happening)...it goes back and forth like this for about 15 minutes until the player settles down to normal. I have also added a plug-in Cinema mpeg-2/vob-5.1 sound version, and the latest firmware OS v 1.7.22 ( all from the Archos website). The player was also freezing at start up before the updates took place.
I have contacted Archos and they seem to be useles, I have contacted them by phone and keep getting cut off when i enter my tech password as i have registerd the item, so i tried e-mail and this was there responce:-

By your description the product needs to be repaired.
Please contact the shop where you bought the device in order to have details about how to get the device repaired.
Ive been on the Archos forums but they all have problems with the player but not the problem i have.
Just wanted to know if anyone on here has this player aswell and has had any problems?
