*** MPG Calculations Spreadsheet *** (with stars!)

All I know is that if I do an average of 42-43mpg @ 140.9p I break even on my fuel expenses. Any more mpg I end up making money from my fuel expenses!

Updated the OP and spreadsheet, made it shareable and editable for fuel prices only. Had a few people accessing this recently from here.

could also make the spreadsheet a function of the speed you choose to drive the car at, so you can see what driving at 70+ vs 60 costs? per year

ie
How much?
According to studies backed by the department of energy, the average car will be at its advertised MPG at 55 mph. But as the speed increases:

- 3% less efficient at 60 mph
- 8% less efficient at 65 mph
- 17% less efficient at 70 mph
- 23% less efficient at 75 mph
- 28% less efficient at 80 mph

google doesn't show me an easy formula with mpg as a function of (Cd, areas, speed^2)
