Hi guys,

I've got loads of MKV's which I converted using mkv2vob to a format my PS3 can play. Most of them had DTS audio and as I have a DTS reciever I have no problems with playback.

Since then I've got a Samsung HD TV in the other room that can usually playback MKV's fine. The problem is that it doesn't have a built-in DTS reciever so I get no sound from all my MPG files with DTS (the output format chosen by MKV2VOB)

Is there any easy way I can convert the Audio on the MPG files to normal 2 channel sound?

thanks in advance.

I have the exact same problem with my version one of the WDTV in that it doesnt play DTS audio so.

Check out

This link contains a tutorial that is a little out of date but works for me. It will also inject the new stereo audio into the MKV without removing the DTS audio so you get a new MKV with both of the soundtracks it just makes it bigger.

Thanks for the advice mate, although I use that program already to cleanup dirty DTS tracks for encoding by MKV2VOB.

Problem is that the files are no longer in the native MKV format but are in MPG format which this program refuses to open :(

Need a program that can open MPG file and convert the audio....
