Just wondering, what kind of car do you drive and whats your average mpg?

Also, if it concerns you, what is the lowest mpg you would go for in a new/used car?

20.1 Litres gets me around 220 miles. My maths are rubbish so can someone tell me that in MPG?

Thats in a Rev 3 MR2 Turbo.

1 litre micra. around town on short journeys 45mpg but n motorways gets 55ish its qutie good.

On a new car I wouldnt be concerned on the 'having fun' mpg as long as general mpg was respectable, ie over 30.

SWMBO's Renault Scenic: 40-42mpg
1954 Ford Pop: about 30mpg
1967 Ford Anglia: about 25mpg (ok it's a tuned 1700cc with twin webers :D )

That's 50 miles per gallon. So you must have mixed your numbers up because i get a maximum of 42/43mpg from my Rev 5 N/A MR2 (and that's doing a steady 60 on the motorway).

I think thats about 50mpg, are you sure you have those figures right?

I get 38 out of my 1.2

LOL! My bad, I mean 120 miles :P

Thats more reasonable! I used to get about 20mpg I think on my Rev 1 turbo. Fiancee gets about 47mpg combined in her 1.2 Clio. I've just picked up a 4.2 Audi A8, will be interesting to see how that does!

Anything between about 25 and 35 mpg depending on the trip but I never hang about and regularly rev it to 7k rpm.

It's an MG ZR 1.8 BTW (120)

As for a new car, so long as it'll do about 20mpg I'm happy with it.

normally? 23mpg ish, mix of town and motorway driving but I need to see a doctor about my right foot, it's disproportionately heavy :p

On a run I can get 30+, and when trying it drops to sub 18mpg.

Mines dropped off slightly of late. Average around 35 mpg now - 1.4 306.

With my current situation and usage I'd be looking at mid 30's ideally from a new car.

Clio 182 - 28.5 mpg (down from 34 since I got my new exhaust and now spend most my time at 5.2k rpm+ )
