MPNCTech stuff

Has anyone sources MNPCTech kit from the USA?..Ive been thinging of getting a few bits and bobs, total value about £100, but Im really not sure what import duties and taxes I would need to allw for in calculating the total cost.

anyone got experience of this and/ or an idea of how much customs will charge?

Never used MNPC myself but I have used other stateside retailers for water cooling stuff. I've got stung for VAT/import duty a couple of times and it can get expensive. According to the HM revenues website customs duty becomes payable for goods worth over £135 but is waived if the fee is less than £9.

VAT on imported goods is at least 17.5% or maybe its now 20% as it was due to go up, so factor in another 20 quid if the value of your items is £100.

You will be charged 17.5% of the total of the goods and the shipping combined. Then Parcelfarce, UPS etc (whoever is dealing with it this end) will probably slap a handling charge on top. This varies from courier to courier, but Parcelforce's are either £9 for standard delivery, or £13.50 if you used a fast service.
