MR2 Bodykit From Hell ?

That seems a waste of a prefectly good MR2. The Mk II is a classic and is destined to become more so in years to come.

I certainly wouldn't downgrade mine with such tacky bodykit. It looks awful.

I've seen MUCH worse body kits than that, a little too noble 'esque for my liking but its not all that bad.

Nope, it looks like a bunch of cheap fibreglass poorly glued onto a poor MR2.

TBH it doesnt look "Poorly" glued on at all

Edit: BTW there was a Le mans MR2 :)

Heres the road Version of it

Take it youve never driven/owned one? They are excellent fun. Just becourse you can buy them for 3/5k shouldnt mean "Its only an mr2"!

What I meant was it's not a porsche / ferrari / rare car!

I'm not slating the mr2, just saying it's not THAT special, and it's hardly wrecked it!

Oh... and even tho i've got similar power in my current car I wouldn't want an mr2, mainly because I think I'd wrap it around a tree within the first week!

Actually they are kind of special.

There is no other car near its price range with the engine where it is AFAIK:)

I fail to see how this looks like cheap fibreglass that has been glued on  :

It is a bit OTT but the quality of it looks good to me, certainly a lot better than most "kits". It doesn't appear to have been just stuck on either.

You know, I have to give kudos to anyone who admits that. It is no myth that the MR2 can be a very naughty car if pushed too far. Mine is a kick off 240bhp, not huge in the grand scheme of things but when you consider it being rear wheel drive, mid engined and turbocharged then it can really bite if thrashed and many an MR2 written off has been backwards through a hedge.

The rev1 which I have is especially naughty compared to the revs 2 and 3. I drive the car within it's limits and mine but the car can do far more than I can. I have spun it on a roundabout in the wet doing low speed with F1s on the front and Toyo Proxys on the rear ( a poor tyre for the wet but superb in the dry ) just by giving it a little too much acceleration.

Great fun to drive but it must be treated with respect, as should any RWD car.

Here's mine next to a mate's Boxter.
