Rev 3s have MAP, Rev 1 & 2 have MAF so i'd suggest giving MAF sensor a clean, even if just to rule it out!
The MAF sensors are the flap type, rather than hot wire so they don't really suffer from oil contamination. They can fail with age though.

Checked my spark plugs and they are very sooty , so it is certainly overfueling by too much
You don't have a silly atmospheric dump valve fitted to it do you?
and no Atmos Bov just the oem
Mine gave simmilar symptoms just before the fuel pump expired.
I didn't think a CT26 was too happy with that level of boost, although It's been a while.
