From what I understand, installing exchange alters te entire AD schema which is why I was asking about does it need a new domain creating because the first time I installed it it messed up the domain so no clients could join it
The trouble is if it does need a new blank domain then it will mess up ISA server because that relies on AD as well as PCE and ranger but if it had to be done then I would hope ISA would not need to be reinstaled...
I've not actually looked at the backup functions in exchange yet but the machine it would be installed on already has an ultrium (sp?) tape drive of some description and is connected to a raided SAN
Of course this all might get stopped in its tracks if county refuse to alter their MX records but I hope that won't be the case.
Any advice or tips you can give regarding the installation etc though would be appreciated
