Try Jaws PDF CReator, very simple to use and has loads of options when saving to PDF.

both, I own the company.

I've actualy got move of it into PDF using acrobat but the first two pages are unrecognised by the OCR, not its fault realy I was faxed it any its pants.

guess they will have to put up with my quick and dirty typed copy

Think that's all you can do really, OCR software is just about reasonable on a near-perfect printed copy, on a fax it doesn't stand a chance.
