just got a xbox for son , these MS Points whats the deal with them is there anywhere to buy them cheaper than others ?
:(
edit dam wrong forum sorry

You're probably better off just buying them off Xbox Live, i dont think theres many places that cost less if any

You can get them on Xbox now using PayPal, very handy and can't really be beaten on price and the handyness of the amounts you can buy them in!

If its for your son you have the right idea going for redeemable two choices depending on your patients instant code delivery from sites like cheap xbox live codes or amazon and the likes postal for a few quid cheaper.

there all about the same price really as there is a fixed price from microsoft, i normally just get mine from game or game station with a redeam code. but i know some people get them from ebay but i wouldnt trust it, could be usin a generator and then you get snatched for it not them just any trusted site or store really.

It's cheaper to buy the points cards than buying them direct from Microsoft. You'll also have to be careful if you do buy through your console using a credit card as it will be stored on your account for future use (i.e. your son would be able to purchase more points/games/membership after your initial purchase), though there is the option to remove this.

You'll be paying full RRP in that case then. The usual online places sell MS Points and PSN cards for less than RRP on most occasions. No point paying more than you need to.

I believe the parental controls may block kids from buying more points or similar if there is a credit/debit card on file.

Also I think you get more points for the same price from the shop don't you? Last time I checked it was about £17 for 2000 direct on the xbox, but £17 (or less) for 2100 in the shop with a card
