Is this any good?

I ask as I have been getting a couple of BSODs and IE7 has dropped a lot so I used this mem tester.

It failed my Geil memory 4 out of the 6 tests it did.

thats not so good.

Have you tried uping you ram voltage a bit? what speed is your ram running at?

To be sure it's not a Windows issue I'd run it through Memtest86+ for DOS. You can get a CD image to burn on a CDRW here: http://www.memtest.org

I've had RAM in the past that only fails only Windows. Reinstalling the OS was the cure, never did find the cause.

The MS memory tester is a boot disk so does not go into windows.

Drat - more expense........
The failing ram is GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit almost exactly 2 years old  bought it 16/8/2006
