Vista is now available on the Bristol MSDN, so if you have access to any MSDN and didn't have Vista before, you may find you now have Vista available....

I've realised I can now get a normal Business key from, rather than the Business N key I got previously, looks like a reinstall for me...

So it is, i emailed the guy in charge of our MSDN thing last term, he said sometime in january maybe, seems he got it.

Its a media loan for us too, i think il wait a while before getting it.

N version is the one missing Media Player.

Can't you still download Media Player seperately though? I know that you can with XP Home N and XP Professional N - the "N" marker is because of court requirements in Europe, not because of a marketing issue.

Downloaded the Vista Business DVD from Newcastle MSDNAA, think it is the retail version can anyone confirm? Serial key was on the website, along with another different serial for the CD version :p so got two keys :D.

The key I got from Newcastle MSDN worked for install, but I couldn't activate using it. Had to phone M$ and get them to give me a new one.

As far as I can work out, they've not made it available yet, it doesn't let me try and download it anyway.

I have an MSDN key for Ultimate from work for testing at home :D

Says on the website that we get a grace period before we have to activate? Does that mean its a years usage once activated with updates etc? Also I have a RTM version of Vista am I safe to install with that and use the key I got given at work?

What version of Vista does everyone have on their MSDN server? On Liverpool John Moores only Vista Business 32-bit seems to be available - both 5CD and DVD.

I saw another thread a while back where i'm sure a few people had obtained and 64-bit Vista from the MSDN server. Can't find the thread now though.

I'm feeling greedy and wouldn't mind getting both 32-bit and 64-bit Vista free of charge! :p
