hi

can someone tell me please whether this board is any good, good for overclocking and most importantly able to take cpu's with 533 bus as see listed as 800 and cannot find any reviews of the motherboard that will tell me.

Have a p4 2.4 with a 533 bus that i'd like to fit.

Many thanks

This would indicate that it will support the chip OK;

On the main page for that board;

You can download the manual.

The only screen I can see for overclocking in there allows you to change the FSB, no voltages. If you use PC3200 RAM you may well be able to get some sort of overclock going, but it won't be as flexible as some other i865 based boards.

Do you definitely need mATX? The MSI 865PE NEO2 range do allow for reasonable overclocking and they are available very cheaply, new, from the auction site. I would recommend something based on the i875 chipset from ASUS or Abit if you want to do serious clocking though.

Many thanks you little superstar WJA96; that is a massive help.

Yeah, due to the project i'm doing I need a matx so as have room in case for all wc bits.

You would'nt believe how much help that is as there are few 478 matx boards around that have the 865 chipset.

Cheers again and give yourself a pat on back from me.
