Evening folks,

After updating to the latest Afterburner I cannot under volt my graphics card anymore, has anyone else experianced this?

Nothing happens at all, I'll change the number, hit apply and then it just goes back to 0.
I'm currently using the MSI 290 GE.

Do you have any other msi apps or overclocking apps installed? I would first try to restore factory defaults in CCC.

Then delete the profiles from the MSI Afterburner folder

Restart the pc, run afterburner, it will prompt you to restart so do that.

Then copy these settings and restart afterburner again.

Has that fixed it?

Strangely enough MSI Gaming Editions seem to have the most problems with MSI Afterburner. :D

If you have the MSI Gaming App installed get rid of it but switch back to performance mode first.

That's the app i was talking about, couldn't remember the name. Wonder if that is possibly conflicting, never used it myself mind. What is its purpose exactly?

It's just a very simple OCing tool for beginners. It allows you to put the card into 2 "modes"; gaming, eco and there's also a button to revert factory settings.

I suspect they do something funky with the BIOS of these cards (to allow for the "modes") which causes problems with AB.

I wonder if that has anything to do with Shankly and born 2 kill saying 14.6 drivers give their MSI Gaming cards higher temps at idle and load, but no non MSI Gaming uses (to the best of my knowledge) have reported similar.

Hi folks,

At work at the moment so I've not been able to test any of this out but I can say my settings are the same as the ones posted and that hasn't changed it.

Also I didn't install the MSI gaming app and did all my overclocking through Afterburner.
It's strange because the previous version of Afterburner (3.0) worked perfect and it's only with the new one that it's a little screwed up.
