MSI Afterburner problem

Up untill about a week ago everything was fine, Now when gaming after usually about 30-60 minutes my screen goes black for 1-2 seconds, The GPU fans slow right down from ~70% to 40% for these 1-2 seconds and then the screen returns to normal and everythings fine (gpu fan back up to speed). and I carry on gaming.

For a while I wondered why it was doing this but it was fine after the 1-2sec dropout and i'd carry on gaming so wasnt too fussed, Now its getting frustrating.

What i've noticed now is that everytime it does this dropout its loosing the OC set in MSI Afterburner, Though it's still keeping the Fan profile I setup in there but it resets my GPU back to stock.
I have to close game then open and close Afterburner to get my OC back.

Is this a GPU problem, MSI Afterburner or a Driver problem?

Problem exists on 285.26 & 285.27 driver's, Using V2.1 Afterburner.
Temps are fine peaking at 76-79c. w7 x64

Games affected MW2, BO, Dirt 3.

possible, I would try running something like ati tool and use the check for artifacts option, that can be a way of checking your overclock. If that doesn't find anything then i would bump the voltage up a notch and then run stuff as normal to see if that helps, keep an eye on your temperatures though as more volts will give higher temps

On trying to change the volts in Afterburner, It will only let me choose either 1.050 or 1.063.. Anything inbetween and it goes back to 1.050 when I click apply, Is this normal?

I wanted to try it at 1.055 and 1.063 seems a bit high or does it not?

e2a: I tried reinstalling Afterburner, I also tried using the 2.2 Beta 7 and it made no difference.

I would say you would be fine with those voltages but I dont know enough about nvidia cards to say for sure and i dont want to give you wrong info :(
try the manufacturers website and see if they state a max safe voltage
