My son called to ask when they might get the mobo in, but was told there was nothing at all on it.

Can somebody confirm this please?

:(

There's nothing official regarding release dates are there? I was under the impression all those pre-orders on other sites were pretty much place-holders so they probably don't know anything.

Rumours are it'll be sometime in August/Sept, according to the MSI subreddit.

the cynic in me says it will be a month after all the msi non-max boards go out of stock.
(so the suckers that bought the non-max boards will not be able to exchange it for a max version)

I was waiting for the standard mobo to come back in to stock and or buy it from somewhere else until I was informed of the MAX mobo, so what a
mistake I almost made, so waiting is no problem.

What mistake?

Other than a cut down graphics on the bios and no more support for 1st Gen CPU’s, the original boards will act the same as the new MAX boards?

A cynic may opine that MSI are using the current compatibility issues to do a cheap MB refresh and charging a extra £15/20 per board straight profit

Well, just thinking that MSI updating the mobo for only a few pounds more than the current one is a good deal and happy not to have bought an older tech; nothing more than that really.
