MSI GT780DX KEYBOARD

Hi evryone,

I was going to purchase a MSI GT780DX laptop. I have been waiting what seems an eternity for this machine to be released in the UK. Now it is available to pre order on the Overclockers web site i have to say I am dissapointed in the UK spec. The laptop has been heavily advertised for its Steel Series backlit keyboard, yet the UK release will not be backlit which seems to be to be crazy. Does anyone know the reasoning behind this? As the machine is clearly marketed as a gaming machine a backlit keyboard is surely a must have.

On another point, How can someone go about ordering one of these machines with customized options such as SSD?

As far as the keyboard goes I think MSI have made a big mistake with the UK release........shame

I read it was something to do with MSI being able to get it out in the UK before Christmas, I purchased one from the states as I wanted the steel series keyboard just awaiting for it to arrive now

Yes I have read that aswell now. It appears the UK version still gets the Steel Series keyboard, its just not backlit so you don't get all the cool lighting effects.
