Hello I just got the GPU said above and I have hooked it up to my TV in the lounge, a 46" Panasonic Viera and had some problems with the resolution but managed to sort that out. The other problem I have is that it flickers almost like it screen tears or something, the refresh rate is at 60hz so I'm confused. I normally use a monitor (Dell U2412M to be precise) however it's getting replaced so I am still awaiting to receive that back, until then I can determine if it's the GPU or TV, I have a GTX 570 which I am currently using and it is connect via HDMI to my TV and no problems what so ever. I hope it's not the GPU as I just got it and can't tell if it's the TV or not. I used HDMI as well to connect the 670.

What model is the tv?

In nvidia control panel adjust desktop colours settings change digital colour format to ycb444

Also in nvidia control panel adjust video colour settings change dynamic colour range to full (0-255)

Make sure you desktop is set to 1080p 60hz

On your tv make sure any extras are like noise reduction and inteligent frame creation sharpness are all turned off.

Panasonic Viera 46" th-46pz80b, I ran it through 1080p at 60hz. I'll give them a whirl, it's frustrating that I can't try it through a monitor, if anything was wrong with the GTX 670 what would it be considering I just literally got the card

I also have new nvidia card with panasonic plasma and all it takes is one setting to be wrong like 24hz mode enabled and the picture is terrible.

If changing the settings round doesn't fix it then the only thing to do is test it out on a monitor or a different tv.

Not sure on your tv but on my panasonic st50 they are:
menu
picture
advanced

Also you could just try game mode on your tv because this would disable any extra features that could be causing problems.

Also there is something you could try on your pc to determine if its the graphics card or tv.
On your pc try some different settings like 1920x1080 50hz and 1280x720 60hz and 1280x720 60hz to see if you tv will work smoothly on them instead.

I believe I gave them a try before but I'll give them a go in a little while, when I googled the problem before most people that had the issue had a Panasonic Viera TV, I'm convinced its not the GPU after all I only received it today, I'm normally used to 1920x1200 at 60hz on my monitor and so I'm not familiar with this TV

Ok so now more problems, the screen just goes red and locks up, only ordered the dam thing on Friday and paid for sat delivery and now this...typical

If your talking about Nvidia then the latest; 310.90, I uninstalled MSI Afterburner after reading a little bit on RSOD, I didn't change anything in afterburner just had it there with my 570 as I overclocked that card, not this one. Using the 670 as I write and it hasn't RSOD yet, I haven't got a spare TV, just the one and my monitor is with Dell getting replaced so I have no way of telling if it's to do with the TV or my card, only thing I know is that the 570 I have works perfectly with the TV

Here's my specs just in case:

i5 2500k at 4.3GHz (stable)
Antec 620 for cooling
120gb SSD Corsair
600w Coolermaster Gold
Asus P8P67 (could this be the problem, also how do I update the BIOS on the GPU?)
12GB Corsair vengeance RAM (stable and fine)

If you haven't updated your mobo bios for a while I would
check to see if a update is available.

It could be as simple as that.

If your card is new I doubt that will need the bios updating,
again you can check this on the Asus website.

Are you using the latest Afterburner?

Yes I was using the latest AB, 2.3.0, I'm usually always up to date with any software
