After I RMA'd the first one, I have received the replacement now. After windows loads, the computer restarts and the graphics card fan blasts at 100% until I turn off the pc manually at the switch. Sometimes it windows loads for a minute, but it does the same thing again, other times windows doesn't even load. Can't believe a brand new replacement is having these problems. I have taken the card out and put back my 4890, the 560 feels quite warm on the fans.:mad:

Another annoyance, I sent back the whole graphics card package including the box it came in with the accessories and booklet, I've been sent a tiny box with just the graphics card in. Why didn't I get back the original box? Maybe I wasn't supposed to sent it back when I RMA'd, but I thought they would at least send it back to me.:mad:

what's the rest of the rig ?, is the psu up to the job of powering it ?

normally they say with the rma whether they want the item or the whole package, very rarely ask for the whole package in my experience.

your "new" one may not be a new one. Likely a repaired/refurb

My PSU is a Corsair 750W so that has nothing to do with the problem.

This may have nothing to do with it, but looking closely at the gpu, you can see the thermal paste they have applied and it has dripped down the side of the gpu. This may have nothing to do with the problem, just an observation.

I have no idea what to do, in an ideal world I would love to have my money back so I can purchase a graphics card from another company. Will I have to RMA again in hope they give me a brand new card which actually works?

I heard stories of people kept RMA'ing it until getting a working one or eventually giving up.

Another reason, I think, is that because there is no new 560Ti being manufactured anymore so you will only get repaired/refurb ones.

No that can't be, I tried doing a format, the new graphics plugged in and the hard drive is wiped. During the installation of windows it did it again, the screen went blank and the fan 100%. The card itself is 100% at fault.

Please can someone help.

Could that be causing the problems? The paste seems to be touching the gpu pins at the bottom, but the computer seems to work for a few minutes, even furmark works for a bit. The the computer screen goes off and the fan blasts 100%. Really need some advice here.:(

Temperatures are also fine.

Msi are terrible for rma, they are also terrible for thermal paste botch jobs. The 560ti is a difficult card from my experiences, same card as yours as well, can't wait for the 660, certainly won't be going anywhere msi in future.
