I discovered on my mobo installation disc that there is a windows-based overclocking utility (control centre 2, not available on msi's site). I usually avoid them so hadn't seen it, BUT it applies the overclock settings and I'm now sitting pretty on an easy 4.7GHz, reported in cpu-z etc for confirmation.

So, if you're finding that your settings aren't sticking (my vcore never stuck) then I can recommend using the utility on the disc (saves rebooting all the time too, except when you BSOD on low volts lol).

Well chuffed :D :D:D:D:D:D

Hi. Am glad you got is sorted. I have had nothing but problems. The bios is so buggy. What version bios are you running on your MSI?

My problems is not far off from yours. I have set an overclock in the bios but it's not showing the correct frequencies in windows, even though it is OC.

I tired that control center but things did not stay the same. Plus not as good as using the bios.

See you got no help like I haven't on my thread. :(

Running prime at the moment but think I have found a newer bios, so may try that and see if it sorts out my problems.

Think I may go back to asus in future, unless MSI pull there finger out.

I have the only BIOS available for my board apparently. I went for the cheaper P67A-C45 which no one seems to use, no info anywhere. Did you use the Control Centre 2(the one on the disc), as the one on MSI's site is not compatible with the board? I agree, the BIOS is buggy as hell. Hopefully an update will sort it.

If that bios is the 1.5 version, then the same as me. You have the same motherboard as me. The CD came bundled with an old incompatible version of control center.

I found a more upto date control center 2 on msi forum. There had been complaints that, you could not adjust CPU ratio in Windows. See here http://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=144672.msg1077782#msg1077782

And the link is on that topic to the most current control center 2. So best not to use any from the drivers disk.

I've since discovered that the control centre settings don't stick after a reboot so I have to load them every time I reboot. Quite irritating.

That version is actually worse. The settings often don't apply in windows, whereas the older version only lost them when I rebooted. Grrrrrr
